Kishore Nepal has circulated in nearly a dozen daily and weekly newspapers for some 40 years. More than 20 years ago, I wrote in The Rising Nepal that, whether someone liked him or not at the personal level for his candid comments and devil-may-care approach to state his point, Nepal made compelling reading. In his element, he is bold and daring with spontaneity in choice of words, and lucid flow in style and approach that make the reading easy and powerful.
At one time the editor-in-chief of the centenarian Gorkhapatra, Nepal is also credited was the editor of the country's two-largest circulating tabloid weeklies - Kantipur Saptahik and Shukrabar, brought out by two leading rival private publishing houses of Kantipur and Republic Media.
